Future public library to be located on Parcel 8. Design by Steven Holl Architects for
Queens Library.
The following project milestones will be met within the next year:
- Completion of all Stage 2 public infrastructure (park, streets and utilities)
- Grand opening of 3 additional acres of waterfront parkland and public esplanade
- Completion of a children’s spray park
- Completion of two new residential towers by TF Cornerstone (Parcels 1 and 4)
- Groundbreaking for the final residential tower by TF Cornerstone (Parcels 3)
- Completion of environmental remediation of Parcel 8 (library parcel)
- Transfer of Parcel 8 to City of New York for construction of the public library
