Queens West Development Corporation has begun construction of a new playground
to be located in Gantry Plaza State Park. The 15,000 square foot playground will
feature all the newest play equipment and water features, and will be open in
the spring of 2010.
Queens West Development Corporation expects to reach the following project milestones within the next year:
- Completion of Phase 2 environmental remediation
- Groundbreaking for remaining Phase 2 parks, streets, and utilities
- Groundbreaking for fourth Rockrose apartment building
- Groundbreaking for a second public school (Pre-K through Grade 8)
