Currently under construction, Stage 2 includes seven residential development parcels. Three of these buildings are complete and occupied, and three new towers are currently under construction. Construction of the last remaining tower will commence shortly. All remaining residential buildings in Stage 2 are being constructed by TF Cornerstone and will be complete by the end of 2013. When complete, Stage 2 will include 3,200 units of housing.
In addition to the residential buildings, Stage 2 construction includes a public school, three additional acres of waterfront parkland, and new public streets and utilities (public storm and sanitary sewers, water lines, electric lines, etc.). Construction of all parkland, esplanade, roads and utilities will be complete by 2012.
PS/IS 312Q, a 25,000 SF public school providing 662 school seats (Grade pre-K through Grade 8), is currently under construction on Parcel 4A. The school is being constructed by the New York School Construction Authority and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013.
The neon-lit, 65-year-old Pepsi sign has been relocated to its permanent location in the northern section
of the future parkland.
